Bingo night to benefit Torch Run

The Grand Canyon Chamber & Visitor's Bureau has partnered again this year with the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. This year's fundraiser will be a bingo night.

Come join the chamber and take a chance on winning some fantastic prizes. The event takes place at The Grand Hotel March 30 from 5:30 -7:30 p.m.

Grand Canyon Lions Club meets twice a month

The Grand Canyon Lions Club, a non-profit community organization, meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month. The meetings are held in the conference room of the Canyon Plaza Resort in Tusayan. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. The Canyon Plaza Resort is located behind the IMAX® Theater on Highway 64. Anyone in the community is invited to attend.

Grand Canyon AA meetings

Members of the Grand Canyon Chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous meet three times weekly at the South Rim. The group meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the Kachina Room of Kachina Lodge. Meetings for the group begin at 7 p.m.

Free transportation for cancer patients

The American Cancer Society is offering free round-trip transportation to Flagstaff Medical Cancer Center for any patient that needs a ride to treatment. Any cancer patient in need of transportation to treatment or anyone that wants to volunteer should call (928) 214-2800, ext. 12231.

Archaeology Day this Saturday

On March 24, Grand Canyon National Park will host its fifth annual Archaeology Day in honor of Arizona Archaeology and Heritage Awareness Month. All activities are free and family friendly and will take place between 10 a.m. 4 p.m. at the Shrine of the Ages, which can be easily accessed via the park's free Village Route shuttle.
