The chamber looks forward to much in 2012
Josie Bustillos
Grand Canyon Chamber and Visitor's Center General Manager

We bid a fond farewell to 2011. We had a few a bumps along the way but, all in all it was a great year for us. We welcome our newest board of directors Jeannie Sharp, Mike Halpin and Brian Ciesielski.

We kicked off our 2012 season hosting the Annual Membership Luncheon at the Best Western Premier Grand Canyon Squire Inn. It was a huge success with 60 guests present. This was our largest luncheon ever. We are looking forward to an exciting 2012. We are working on many exciting events for this next season, a few we cannot share at this time but, we will once all is confirmed and on the books officially.

Last year for the first time the Grand Canyon Chamber partnered up with the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics and they had their biggest year ever. We are in the process of starting the plans for the LETR. So far we have received a lot response and we are excited at the fact that we may outdo last year's fundraiser.

Our membership has increased in just the last few months and this is very exciting for us as a Chamber. We are looking forward to becoming a very large presence in the state of Arizona by participating in many of the travel shows and by having some really great events.

We are excited about becoming an Official Arizona Visitor's Center. All should be in place by February and this is going to be great for us as a CVB and for our membership. We thank our Community and our Members for their support throughout the year. We look forward to a great 2012 season.
