Tusayan Fourth celebration a big success
Josie Bustillos
Grand Canyon Chamber General Manager

To the editor:

This year's Fourth of July event was a huge success. The parade kicked off right on time at 3 p.m. and this year, for the first time ever, Tusayan had its very first drivable float and it was a sight to see as the huge birthday cake came down the road.

After the parade the "Kid's Zone" kicked off with sack races, horse shoes, watermelon eating contest's and last but not least, the breaking of the Piñata. Young and Old enjoyed the entertainment from "Whiskey Rodeo" and nothing makes it more the  Fourth of July than a gourmet hot dog or a Big John BBQ sandwich along with a great brew sponsored by Grand Canyon Brewing Company.

Yes, it truly was a great success this year but, we could not have done as well as we did without help from our membership and our sponsor's and of course our community.

We hope that everyone had a great time and thank you for your support of your Grand Canyon Chamber and Visitor's Bureau.

We are nothing without you.
