Shirley A. (Gale) Robinson, 47, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Holy Family Medical Center in Spokane, Wash.
She was born in Spokane, Wash. on May 10, 1960, to Ina and Dewey Gale. Shirley graduated from University High School in 1978 and married Douglas Robinson in September 1985.
She moved to Grand Canyon in 1986 where she worked as an assistant secretary of housing for the Canyon. In 1991, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and was no longer able to work. In December 2000, she moved back to Spokane to be closer to an MS facility and rehabilitation center.
Shirley was a vibrant, outgoing person with a beautiful smile and upbeat attitude for life.
She loved her family dearly and everyone who met her loved her. Shirley will be greatly missed.
Her father, Dewey, preceded her in death.
Shirley is survived by her husband Douglas Robinson and their son David, of Grand Canyon; her mother, Ina Gale and stepfather Allen Harris of Springdale, Wash.; her brother, Stephen (Denise) Gale and their daughters Jaclyn Gale and Stephanie (Todd) Hickman of Spokane Valley, Wash.; her sister Sally (Richard) Hibbard and their son Joseph and daughter Jennifer (Craig) Wise of Deer Park, Wash.; two great-nephews and two great-nieces; her aunts Phyllis Shurtlieff of Spokane, Wash., Darlene Dormaier of Spokane Valley, Wash., Donna McGuin Winkler of Elma, Wash. and Sandi Wasemiller of Vancouver, Wash.; and numerous cousins.
