H1N1 (swine) flu vaccination clinics scheduled

The Coconino County Health Department (CCHD) has scheduled H1N1 (swine) Flu Vaccination Clinics at the CCHD Flagstaff location, 2625 N. King Street, as follows:

• Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays beginning Monday, November 23. Clinics will continue through year-end (excluding Holidays).

• Saturday, December 5, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Appointments are limited to the H1N1 (swine) flu first priority risk group which includes:


• Pregnant women,

• Children 6 months to 4 years old,

• Children between 5 and 18 with underlying health conditions - neuromuscular disease, diabetes, underlying heart or lung conditions, or suppressed immune system,

• Anyone who lives with or cares for children less than 6 months old,

• Health care workers with direct patient contact.

• Appointments are required and are available by calling the CCHD Flu Information Line at 928-679-7300, toll-free at 1-877-679-7272.

• There is no out-of-pocket cost for the H1N1 (swine) flu vaccine. Please bring your insurance card if you are covered.

• Additional CCHD flu vaccination clinics will be scheduled as vaccine supplies allow. As additional H1N1 (swine) flu vaccine is received, the vaccine will be made available to a wider risk groups and then, if supplies allow, to the general public.

• All clinics are based on availability of vaccine and subject to change. Updated clinic schedules will be posted on the CCHD website at www.coconino.az.gov/health. Information is also available by calling the CCHD Flu Information Line.

• In additional to CCHD Clinics, many private healthcare providers have received supplies of the H1N1 (swine) flu vaccine and are offering vaccinations to those in the high risk category.

Seasonal Flu Vaccinations

Due to high demand and delivery delays from seasonal flu vaccine manufacturers, seasonal flu vaccination appointments are not currently available at the Health Department.
