Fitzgerald, Rueter and Sanderson remain on town council
The results of the Aug. 26 primary election are in. In the town council race, which had three seats available, incumbents Bill Fitzgerald received 27.74 percent of the votes, John Rueter received 24.52 percent of the votes and Craig Sanderson received 20.65 percent. New candidate Rebecca Wirth received 19.35 percent of the 155 votes cast.

Forest Service announces timber sale on North Kaibab Ranger District
FREDONIA, Ariz. - The Kaibab National Forest will soon award its second timber sale as part of the North Kaibab Ranger District (NKRD) Plateau Facilities Fire Protection Project (PFFPP). Following the required 30-day bid advertisement, the PFFPP South timber sale will be auctioned to the highest qualified bidder.
